My mom makes the BEST homemade crepes and fruit sauce. Though you can't tell from the photo, the sauce consists of chunks of apple, peaches, berries, raisins, cinnamon...too many good flavors to remember - topped with vanilla yogurt and fresh strawberries. I'll be sure to get her to teach me how to make it and I'll post the recipe when I do!

This is the sauce we make almost every time we eat pasta; it uses ingredients that we tend to always have on hand and it's easy to make and so flavorful. It has a somewhat smoky, buttery smell and it's rich, spicy and filling. It's packed with healthy ingredients and different textures (ok, maybe butter isn't healthy but a little butter can't hurt, right?). We've tried it with numerous kinds of pasta - my favorite is maybe radiatori, I love how the sauce gets stuck in all of the little ridges.
Recipe after the jump.

I forgot about these photos I took of the dinner at my aunt's wedding in April. It seems like weddings are often notoriously poorly catered but this was a really good meal, prepared by the kitchen/restaurant at an old hall in Yorkshire, England. These are only some of the choices available for each course, I didn't manage to get a photo of everything. The pastry in the top photo was full of ox-tail, I think that was my favorite thing. The small, round cake was something like caramel maple cheesecake, desserts in the UK (or "puddings" as they're usually called) are generally really decadent and these were no exception.
